Some portions speak of God\u2019s wisdom versus human wisdom. It covers several of the issues that impacted real people in the first century. Paul had received reports of problems in the church in Corinth and therefore addresses their problems. Paul declares three times that God&nbsp;&#8221;has chosen&#8221;&nbsp;them and&nbsp;&#8221;because of Him you are in Christ Jesus&#8221;.&nbsp;This truth is joyful and relieving to the believers of that time, and hopefully to us as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Day 1 &#8211; 1 Corinthians 2<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>1. Why do you think Paul points out that he come in weakness, fear and trembling? <br>2. Can you think of an example of human wisdom that doesn\u2019t align with God\u2019s wisdom? <br>3. What is the foundation of our life? <br>2. Where is God\u2019s temple? <br>3. What two things does Paul say will be revealed when Jesus returns? <br>2. What are some of the things Paul endured for the sake of his faith? <br>3. What concerns might someone have with this passage? <br>2. Does Paul\u2019s response seem unloving to you? <br>3. As always in scripture context is important. The Greeks were known for their courts. People would sue over nothing. The real questions here was \u201cis it worth it\u201d? Perhaps there is a different way to settle disputes. Can you think of an example when matters should go to the court, and when matters can be settled differently? <br>2. In verse 12, Paul addresses Christian freedom. Believers were using their freedom as a license to sin. \u201cAll things are lawful\u201d was a common saying. \u201cIs it lawful?\u201d is not the right question. \u201cIs it helpful and beneficial?\u201d is the right question.\u00a0Can you think of an example of this that you see today? <br>3.
