Overview: You will notice some differences as you read these 3 books together. Part of the reason for this is that we are reading whole chapters, and some of the events are only part of a chapter. Some of the differences have to do with the different purpose of each book, and the viewpoint of the writer.
Last week we read about John the Baptist’s birth. This week we will read about his ministry. We see Jesus’ baptism by John, and we also read about the temptations of Jesus in the wilderness. Notice that Jesus knew the scriptures well and used them to resist temptation.
